Important
The survey to be used for text analytics processing must be set up carefully and the folder and variable names must be correct otherwise the text analytics task will fail. Note that the variables are case-sensitive.
There are two ways of setting up variables for text analytics in the survey. Either you can have a separate loop structure for each question, which our Reportal text analytics templates are based on, or you can combine results from several open text questions run against the same categorization model into one loop structure, allowing you to look at results across all the questions in reporting. Studio supports reporting on both of these methods of setting up the text analytics variables. You can use either of those two variants, or both, in the same survey. The text analytics task will automatically use the loop variant(s) that are in the survey provided they have been set up correctly. If you set up both variants in the same survey, they can both refer to the same lookup table for the categorization model.
This guide will first explain the setup that is common regardless of which of these loop structures you choose to use, and then outline the two different loop structures that are supported.
