The scratchpad is a simple text editor that is available in a number of the Authoring pages. If you paste text into the scratchpad, for example from a Word file, you can drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste the text into text boxes, grids, etc. The content of the scratchpad is stored locally in the web-browser, and is available as long as the web-browser is open, or until the session times out. The entire Survey can be pasted into the Scratchpad.
If you copy or drag multiple lines of text from the scratchpad into a question's Answer list, each row of text selected in the scratchpad will become a separate option in the answer list (additional rows will be created automatically in the list to accommodate the answers).
