Database Generation

Once the database is set up as required, and also after any changes are made, the database must be generated (this is effectively the same as launching a survey). To do this:

1. Go to the Contact Database Setup > Database Generation menu command.

1. Select whether you wish to update the existing database or create a new one.

Warning:
Recreating the database will delete all data in the database. NEVER do this with a running production database.

2. Select Enable Database Encryption to encrypt the database when it is generated. Note that it is not possible to change the encryption state of a generated database; once a database is generated, if you wish to change the encryption state you must create a new database - see the warning above.
3. Click Generate Database.

The generation task runs and the database is compiled.
